So far I have really enjoyed learning about all the resources that are currently available as well as proposed bills and actions to improve long-term care supports for older individuals. I feel that this course will not only benefit me professionally but also in my personal life. This semester a family member of mine has had their health status drastically change related to an injury and the information that I have learned so far has been helpful to better support my family in navigating this change. I am interested in the future assignments of observing a family caregiver support group as I feel that it will have a personal impact on me and also make me more aware of the resources and supports that are available in the area where I live.
